In order for you to learn how to draw Sonic Unleashed, one needs to have an elementary understanding of basic figure drawing. As tempting as it may seem to simply put the pen to paper and begin, drawing has a few fundamental rules that are beneficiary to follow.

First of all, be sure to start from the outside and work your way in. Never begin a drawing of a face with the eyes or nose. Starting with the heads basic shapes and size will make certain that the drawing will end up well shaped and proportionate. Secondly, the best way to sketch is to begin by using simple shapes. Anything you can see or imagine can be drawn using only three basic geometric shapes; spheres, blocks and cylinders. Thirdly, some sketchers find it a benefit to their work if they divide it into sections. For example, when drawing a face they will sketch out the basic shape of the face and then split the interior of that shape into sections. First the upper left side; eye, cheekbone, eyebrow ridge, ear and hairline. When they’re through, they move to the right side and begin again. That way, they’re working on one section at a time, concentrating on their work, working carefully and giving each section their entire effort. Finally, all sketchers agree on one rule, use pencil! Even the best artists can make a mistake and when they do, they find it prudent to have the ability to erase their work and begin again.

When it comes to drawing Sonic the Hedgehog, he is comprised of six rounded shapes and four flowing lines. His head is a basic circle, his chest a rounded rectangle with a vertical orientation, two curved lines run from the upper torso as arms that connect to two circles as the hands. Two more curved lines connect to the bottom of the torso down to two elongated egg shapes that will become the feet.

After finishing the basic shape, it’s all embellishments and additions. Widening the arms and legs, adding the triangular hair, putting on the circular shapes around the tops of the feet for shoes, etc to make Sonic complete!
